How to Make a Falooda Recipe for Christmas

Falooda Recipe for Christmas

Christmas is coming soon! What better way to celebrate then making a falooda recipe at home?

Faloodas are a dish originating from India that is very similar to smoothies. It has a thick consistency and contains nuts, milk, ice cream, and other ingredients.

Do you want to make a falooda recipe for Christmas but don’t know where to start? Don’t worry! This is a simple recipe that requires only 5 ingredients and takes less than 30 minutes to prepare.

Faloodas are sweet syrupy drinks traditionally served at Indian weddings. They are also known as kulfi lassis in India. They are usually made using milk, sugar, ice cream and sometimes nuts. The name comes from the Persian word “falu” which means “sweet”.

This recipe uses almond milk because it’s rich in calcium and vitamin D. Almond milk is available in most supermarkets. You can use any kind of milk if you prefer. If you do not have almond milk, you can use cow’s milk instead.

In this blog post, I will share my step-by-step instructions on how to make a falooda recipe.

This recipe makes about 3 cups of falooda. You can adjust the amount depending on your preference.

The first thing we need to do is gather all our ingredients. Here’s what we’ll be using:

1 cup of milk

2 tablespoons of sugar

1/4 teaspoon of cardamom powder

3 cups of ice cubes

1/8 teaspoon of nutmeg powder

1/4 cup of pistachios

1/4 cup almonds

1/4 cup cashews

Directions:

Start by heating up the milk in a pot over medium heat until it starts to boil. Once boiling, remove the pan from the stove and let it cool down completely.

The reason why we have to wait for the milk to cool down is because the heat causes the milk proteins to coagulate and form clumps. If you don’t wait long enough, these protein clumps will cause the milk to curdle when you mix them together.

Once the milk has cooled down, place 2 tablespoons of sugar into a bowl and whisk well.

Next, add the cardamom powder to the mixture. The cardamom adds a nice flavor to the falooda. Stir well so that the spices get evenly distributed throughout the milk.

Now, take out an ice cube tray and fill it with ice cubes. Place the tray inside another container filled with water. We’re going to use the ice cube tray to freeze the milk.

Whisk vigorously for about 5 seconds the falooda shaved into the cooled milk mixture. Refrigerate for 30 minutes after pouring into a serving glass or jar. Serve chilled. Enjoy!
